"CAPTIVATING" Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul
I was fascinated by this book. One of the first books I completed in 2018, which is a stretch for me. I admit to being a slow distracted reader who has a pile of "need to reads"collecting dust by her nightstand. Of all things, most churchy books make me cringe and defiant, but this book...OMG actually made me feel empowered, forgiven, understood, and........ SEXY. Yes, girl! This Christian book did it all.
It was recommended to me by a friend who is 6 years younger than I am, who read it about 3 years earlier. I am 31, and girl, do I wish I had an open heart to read and understand it at her age, but so grateful I read it when I did!
The book details from a biblical perspective why we as women desire to captivate, how and why our relationships with each other and men are nourished or stifled, and best of all how God views us. It reveals beautiful insight of the feminine "crazy" that is unique to all of us.
This book impacted me so fiercely, that though I don't have children, when I do, I hope to raise them with this understanding of them selves. (There is also a male version written by the husband! "Called Wild At Heart")
Have any of you read this? What are your thoughts on it? Which other books have you read good or bad that makes you go WOW as woman?
Grab some tea, and let's chat!
